How We Rank

At The Glow Pick, we take our recommendations seriously. Here’s exactly how we evaluate and rank every Korean skincare product on our site.

Our Evaluation Criteria

1. Ingredient Analysis (30%)

We examine every ingredient list against current dermatological research. We look for clinically proven active ingredients at effective concentrations, and flag potentially irritating or controversial ingredients. Products with transparent, well-formulated ingredient lists score higher.

2. Efficacy & Results (30%)

Does the product actually do what it claims? We assess this through hands-on testing, analysis of clinical studies (when available), and aggregated user reviews across multiple platforms including Korean beauty communities, Amazon, and specialty retailers.

3. User Experience (20%)

Texture, scent, absorption time, packaging design, and ease of use all matter. A great formula in terrible packaging still loses points. We evaluate how a product fits into a real daily routine — not just how it performs in isolation.

4. Value for Money (10%)

We calculate cost-per-milliliter and compare against similar products in the same category. A $40 serum that outperforms a $15 one may still rank lower if the price difference isn’t justified by the performance gap.

5. Accessibility (10%)

Can international readers actually buy this product? We prioritize products available through Amazon, YesStyle, Olive Young Global, and other accessible retailers. Products that are Korea-exclusive or frequently out of stock receive a small penalty.

What We Don’t Do

We never accept payment for product placement. Brands cannot buy their way onto our recommendation lists. We never let affiliate commission rates influence which products we recommend. Our editorial decisions are made independently of our business relationships.

Updates & Corrections

We revisit and update our articles regularly as new products launch, formulations change, and new research emerges. If we discover an error, we correct it promptly and note the change. Our goal is to be the most reliable K-Beauty resource on the web.
